The Redang Trip (part 3)

5am my alarm rang only to wake Betty up and not me =/ She tapped my shoulder until I got up, switched it off and went back to sleep.

5.40am, I jumped up and out of bed determined to go for the sunrise as I'd never seen a proper one before. Surveyed the room and saw everyone still asleep, smsed Edvin and Sam to get no reply, I decided to just go alone anyway. Got dressed, stole Betty's hoody, and headed of to catch the sunrise!

It was so dark and spooky along our beach, I was really very very very scared. Walking fast and steady, pretending I was fine, I made my was to the other beach where the sunrise is clearer. Over there, thankfully there were a few others who were there for the same reason as I, made me feel much better. Sunrise only happened at about 7ish am though so it was quite a wait, but a nice wait.

It was amazing! And I think I got quite carried away with the pictures =P Took more than 150 photos just of the sky that morning, haha. Oh well. Was also using the opportunity to discover ll the feature of my new Lumix digital camera. It would have been cooler if I had a DSLR with me but oh well, the digital camera was more than enough =)

After the sunrise, I hung out at the hammocks drifting in and out of a light sleep. It felt so peaceful =) Took many more pictures at the hammock...until about 8.30 when I figured it was best to go back to the room =(

After a nice long enjoyable breakfast (random food counter served pancakes!), 4 of us and Kelvin decided to hang around and camwhore by the beach! Haha, that was lots of fun =)

11am was checkout time so we went up to get our stuff and headed back to the lobby with the whole gang. Took more group photos for memories =) Mann, when I look at the group photos, I feel happy yet sad, kind of nostalgic, a little wistful...I dunno, a whole mix of feelings...it's crazy.

This photo is really cool. Gotta admit, we've got style, haha. We grabbed a few tables and sat around them, it looks like an actual photo shoot if we actually smiled properly =P

I knocked out on the boat, haha. C'mon 3 days 10 hours of sleep, gotta be tired! O.o The bus took us to Payang Seri restaurant, this amazing Thai food place owned by Daryl's aunt I think. Daryl is basiacally the guy who got us all discounts to stay at Laguna Resort because the place is pretty much owned by his family. We went to Payang Seri to have lunch with his parents. They're really nice people =) Can see where Daryl developed his amiable nature. They also arranged for the bus to take us on a city tour so that was pretty cool as well. We visited the museum, but uh, didn't go it coz we were just too tired, haha. Took some pictures out side and moved on.

Next was Tamadun Islam. Again, we went there and straight to the cafe to have some nice cold refreshments! It was blazing hot and we were thirsty. A few of them went it to check it out but the rest of us were just too tired. The atmosphere was nice to just relax and that's what we did. Back on the bus, we decided to drop by a stall to buy keropok lekor before heading straight to the airport. By the time we reached it was about 6.30pm (I think). Flight was at 9.20pm O.o

Killed time by playing cards, walking around and just plain talking, joking, laughing as we always do. Soon it was time to board the plane and head back to KTJ =)

It was an amazing 3 days. I am so glad I talked myself into going because it was really what I needed badly. I wanna kick myself for ever feeling like not going, it was probably the stress levels talking =/ It was a great trip, with even greater people...I'll definitely remember this trip, the things we did and cherish the memories always =)
