Longest Day of the Year

So.... Betty came over to stay for 2 nights, Sunday being the busiest.

It started at 8am when we finally dragged ourselves out from bed coz of our plan to have breakfast. After showering and getting dressed, off we were to Devi's Corner for your typical KL breakfast (how unhealthy! but I had already written off today as a bad food day =/). As I was parking the car, I grazed the curb x| But a nice Indian man in the opposite restaurant helped me out jokingly claiming to "collect payment later" =P

After Devi's we headed down to the Curve, where of course, I took a wrong move and had to find a new way to get there. The last two days I've discovered how prone I am to getting lost x| But it's okay, more time on the road is more fun, haha. Anyway, we reached The Curve about an hour earlier than the movie so kinda just walked around till 11am.

Step Up 3 was awesome! I think they should come up with one Step Up movie every summer =D It's an awesome chilled movie to watch and hey, they'll always have support of the dancers around. Now, just to get my hands on Streetdance since no one wanted to watch it with me in the cinema =(

Walking around a bit discussing the movie among other things, eating ice cream and shopping for clothes (guess who did, haha), at about 2pm we decided to get going to Desa Park City for our meeting with Chien Yee at 3pm. Sent a message to CY saying "Hey, we're gonna leave now coz I will get lost. So we might reach early". Note the confidence in getting lost but lack of in reaching early, haha.

Well, guess what happened eh. I soon found myself on a one way road to Kepong O.o At the end of the road, I was headed for Pusat Bandar then suddenly I was on the NKVE heading to Ipoh. Hmm. At least there's no jam. Started to head towards Shah Alam and found signage towards Kota Damansara. Honestly, I don't know where that is but the word Damansara gives me more comfort than Shah Alam. True enough, it led me to Mutiara Damansara, back to the Curve =D This time I knew to go left not right and from there it was easy. We reached Chien Yee's place at 3pm sharp. Not bad eh ;)

Went for some light food at the Mediterranean restaurant in Desa Park City then just chilled at Chien Yee's place till 6.30pm. Iskandar and Nishyo confirmed for dinner! Which meant that Chien Yee considered coming again =) More time before leaving always a plus in my books. Had to shift it to 7pm though coz Iskandar needed to order food earlier... erh, my cash was low O.o can't replenish at home. Grr. Nvm, shall order something cheap.

Met up with the other 2 at WIP in BSC. Thank god going home was a straight forward route! Who knows where we would have ended up at.

"Welcome to the Singapore borders, please present your passport."

Haha. That... would be quite funny if it happened =P

Dinner was fun, as it always is when you have these guys as company =)

After dinner, we walked around and ended up being educated about coffee and tea by this awesome and knowledgeable worker at O Gourmet. She explained about all the different kinds of coffee and tea they have, letting us sniff the different aromas of them as well. Hmm, you learn something new everywhere you go, even the mall =D

At 10pm, BSC was closing so we left... headed to The Curve (after much discussion) to just chill. As it seems, we couldn't find a place to CHILL at coz everywhere was either freaking hot, super loud or closed =/ So after walking around a bit, I sent Chien Yee home, thinking finally I could collapse on the bed. Hmm, was I wrong.

Arriving at CY's place, they decided to have some water and rest first before leaving. Sigh. Okay, here we go... and so we chatted, ate keropok and drank water. Well, I drank what I hoped was strong enough coffee to drive betty and myself back later. Finally, convincing Iskandar that we should go back (parents were calling) and then chill at my place if he wanted to, we headed home.

Reached home at about 1am I think and Izzy left at about 1.45am. Honestly, latest ever out with friends, haha. I mean not counting New Years Eve and Jills place, it's new year eve, you can't end a new years eve party at 11pm can you -.-"

Well, the day had officially ended for me but I only slept at about 3.30am after telling my parents all about the day and its adventures, chatting with dhisy a bit online and then singing happy b'day to Dani who was surprisingly awake, haha.

hmm. The next day, we got up late of course. Just in time to have brunch in BV before Betty had to catch her flight. All in all, quite an exciting weekend, hope he had fun... I won't be doing that again in a while though, haha. I guess I'm not as exciting as I'd like to think I am =P

cheers!
